The mission of Illinois Lutheran Elementary School is to provide quality, Christian education to students of the church and community, nurturing and reaching souls for time and eternity. This is done by training and equipping students to positively impact their Church and community through qualified, caring teachers, a diversified curriculum, progressive facilities, and a strong set of co-curricular activities. All these characteristics work together as one promoting strong Christian education, faith and values.

Illinois Lutheran Elementary School strives to keep class sizes small so that the faculty members can provide each student with the help that they need to be successful. In turn the teachers are also learners. They are encouraged to attend classes and workshops to stay current in the latest teaching methods and ideas. This provides them with different ideas to help each grow academically.

On the average students at Illinois Lutheran Elementary School score 15 to 20 percentile points higher compared to students taking the same test nation wide. Another way to look at it is that on the average Illinois Lutheran Elementary School students score better than 7 out of every 10 students in the nation.

Most importantly, our entire purpose is centered on Christ. Each day begins and ends in Christ's name, and Christ's purpose for His children is found throughout the curriculum. We trust that Christ is always with us, and Christ is always blessing the efforts of our students and teachers. Christ is responsible for our successes, and He teaches us through failures. Clearly we are soundly grounded in Christ and His saving word.
